Love Glutinous Rice Food-purple Sweet Potato Dumplings
1.
Wash the purple sweet potato, cut into pieces and steam it (mine is a mini purple sweet potato, which is relatively small, so I used two)
2.
Steamed purple sweet potato peeled
3.
Press it into purple potato mash while it's hot (I pressed the mash and didn't think it was too hot, so I steamed it for a while)
4.
Mix a little black sesame powder and brown sugar to form a filling. (I don’t like glutinous rice balls with threads, so this is made for grandma with fillings. If you want quicksand effect and more deliciousness, add lard and mix together. Even the fillings, although my grandma is not fat at all, she is a bit high, so let’s forget the lard)
5.
Steam the purple potato mash and add glutinous rice flour while it is still hot
6.
The glutinous rice flour should be added in portions and knead into a ball by hand
7.
If the dough is dry, add some warm water
8.
Stuffing
9.
Knead it into a circle and make it in sequence
10.
Many of the made purple sweet potato dumplings are not stuffed. After making a few rounds, I still feel that when I was a child, my grandmother directly pinched a dough into small pieces with her hands. The simple but also the most fragrant.
11.
When done, put it in a pot of boiling water and cook on medium heat until it floats and cook for two minutes on low heat.
12.
I also added the pumpkin dumplings I made last time and boiled it
13.
I don’t know if the purple sweet potato glutinous rice balls will be lighter after they are frozen, but the pumpkin glutinous rice balls are still pretty in the morning.
