Marinated Tofu

A piece of northern tofu (brine tofu).

Cut the tofu into pieces about half a cm thick and 4 cm long and 4 cm wide.

Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly on the tofu cubes and marinate for ten minutes.

Pour oil in a non-stick pan and fry the marinated tofu until golden brown on both sides.

Heat the pan with cold oil, stir fragrant pepper aniseed, green onion ginger, and sharp red pepper until fragrant. Pour in the marinade and tofu cubes. Turn off the heat after boiling for five minutes.

Pour into the container and soak for about two hours.

The fragrant and smooth braised tofu is made.

Tips:
I use the marinade of braised trotters with a little seasoning. You can also use tea juice or other marinades to make tofu with different flavors.
