Miscellaneous Grains and Red Dates Wotou

Sift corn noodles, soybean noodles, millet noodles, glutinous rice noodles, and milk powder one by one into a large bowl

Add sugar and baking soda

Pour in water and stir while pouring

Wash the red dates and cook for about 5 minutes to remove the bitterness

The boiled dates are pitted and chopped

Knead into a smooth dough, let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes

With wet hands, pull off a piece of dough to reunite and make it into a nest-like shape. The size is customizable. The larger one will take longer to steam, and vice versa. Mine is about 40g.

Put the prepared Wowotou directly into the steamer. The steamer should boil water in advance. When the water is boiled, it is almost finished.

Steam for about 15 minutes, turn off the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, then the pot can be boiled.
