Smelling the ten-mile fragrance of sweet-scented osmanthus, I wanted to keep the sweetness that belongs to autumn alone, so I researched it myself. The sweet-scented osmanthus honey sauce, soaked in water or cooked glutinous rice balls, is good!

Osmanthus Honey Sauce

1. Osmanthus, honey, rock sugar, white sugar

2. Pick out the pedicles and scum from the sweet-scented osmanthus. If you have a sieve, it’s better. It takes patience.

3. Put the sweet-scented osmanthus in clean water and soak for about ten minutes, wring out the water by hand

4. Put the rock sugar in the water and boil and stir until it melts

5. Pour the washed osmanthus into a pot, boil on high heat and turn to low heat for about 40 minutes, stirring constantly, until thick

6. Let cool, add honey and stir evenly

7. Generally speaking, the color will gradually become brighter after a week or so, so you can drink it. You can also put some when making glutinous rice balls.

Tips:

Note: The bottling bottle must be kept dry and free of water; when the osmanthus is boiled on a low heat, keep stirring; add honey after allowing it to cool.
