Pickled Cucumber and Cowpeas

The best cucumber is dry cucumber. I bought fruit cucumbers today, which is not bad. Soak the bought cucumbers in light salt water for 10 minutes and rub them with flour to remove pesticide residues as much as possible. If they are peeled, they don’t need to be so troublesome. But pickles must be peeled to make them crispy. The cowpea beans are also soaked in light salt water for 10 minutes, and washed repeatedly.

Perilla is roasted and very fragrant. Cumin is raw, and you can add a little more sugar according to your favorite taste.

Cut the washed cucumber into strips, about the thickness of your finger.

Tips:

2. The sweetness and saltiness of the pickled cucumber and cowpea add seasonings according to your favorite taste. The steaming time is about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the size of the cucumber strips. Note that you should turn it once during the steaming process to avoid steaming. Uneven, don’t over-steam, the cucumber won’t be crispy and tender after steaming.
