Pictograph Potato Bun
1.
Sugar and yeast are dissolved in warm water, and flour, corn flour and milk powder are all poured into the bowl. The corn dumpling flour is added because the dough is a little bit yellowish, which is more towards the color of potatoes.
2.
Pour the yeast water into the kneading bowl and knead it into a smooth dough
3.
Roll the dough long and divide it into 6 portions with a dough cutter
4.
Roll each portion into a circle, thick in the middle and thin around the sides, and put the fillings on
5.
Pinch the mouth tightly and roll it into an oval
6.
Put the buns in a mixture of cocoa powder and rice flour (or milk powder), pat off the excess powder, and poke small holes with chopsticks.
7.
Put it in a steamer and let it rise in a warm place for 25-30 minutes
8.
Seeing that the bun is obviously bigger, it means that it has been woken up. When the water in the pot is boiled, put on the steamer and turn to medium-low heat to steam for about 15 minutes. After steaming, simmer for 5 minutes before opening the lid. Finally, it is coated with a mixture of cocoa powder and powdered sugar, which will look more like freshly dug potatoes.
