Houttuynia cordata is grown in my friend’s vegetable garden. People here like to use it to make soup. It has a good effect on removing heat and clearing fire. It can also moisturize the lungs. If the baby gets angry, adults will like to boil this soup for children to drink. The water is difficult to drink, but if you put some ribs, it will taste a lot better. It is delicious and has no smell.

Pork Ribs Soup with Houttuynia Cordata

1. Cut the ribs into pieces and set aside.

2. Wash the ribs several times.

3. Boil the ribs in hot water.

4. Wash the houttuynia cordata.

5. Remove the blanched ribs and put them in another pot filled with hot water.

6. Put the washed houttuynia cordata into the pot.

7. Add a few slices of ginger.

8. Cover and boil on high heat to low heat for 40 minutes, open the lid and turn off the heat and add salt.

Tips:

Remember to add a few slices of ginger, otherwise it will be a bit fishy.
