Rock Sugar Rose Glutinous Rice Lotus Root

Prepare ingredients: lotus root, glutinous rice, rock sugar, dried roses

Wash the lotus root and peel it off, cut one end a bit (as a lid)

Fill each hole of the lotus root with soaked glutinous rice

Put the lid that you cut off before and fix it with a toothpick

Add water to the pot (not before the lotus root), add rock sugar and roses (or sweet-scented osmanthus), bring to a boil on high heat, turn to low heat and cook until the lotus root is cooked. You can also add a few red dates while cooking.

The cooked glutinous rice and lotus root will taste better when it is topped with honey.
Tips:
Note: Put a lot of rock sugar, otherwise the lotus root will not be sweet.
