The baking soda in the soda can make the meat softer and tender, and the sugar inside can also make the perfect caramel color, eliminating the need to boil with rock sugar, saving time and effort, which can be described as killing two birds with one stone.

Soda Braised Pork

1. The main ingredients are ready: wash the pork belly, cut into mahjong pieces

2. Slice the ginger and garlic, and rinse off the dried chilies. Without putting oil in the pan, add the cut pork belly and stir fry

3. After stir-frying some oil, add ginger slices and continue to stir-fry. Stir-fry until the pork belly is slightly browned and the oil is almost all out, then add garlic and dried chili, stir fry for a fragrance

4. Then pour in light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cooking wine, and stir-fry until it is colored. Pour soda water over the meat, one can is just right

5. Bring to a high heat, simmer for about 40 minutes on low heat, simmer for a long time, and finally collect the juice on high heat

Tips:

Be sure to fully stir fry the pork belly until it is slightly charred, so that the meat will not be fishy.
