Spiced Chickpeas

1. Soak the chickpeas in water for 3 hours

2. Add garlic cloves, bay leaves, cinnamon, star anise, dried red pepper, pepper and appropriate amount of water to the pot

3. Add the chickpeas to a boil, turn to a low heat and cook for 30 minutes

4. Add salt and sugar, cook for 5 minutes, turn off the heat and soak for more than 2 hours.
