Spiced Chickpeas

Prepare all materials

Soak the chickpeas in clear water for more than 3 hours, so that the beans are fully soaked

Put garlic, chili, cinnamon, Chinese pepper, star anise, bay leaves in a pot, add appropriate amount of water to boil (don’t remove the coat of garlic, cook it whole, you can eat it)

Put the soaked chickpeas in the spice water and cook for 30 minutes

Add salt to taste (if no one at home has symptoms of diabetes, you can add some sugar, I think it will taste better)

Cook the ingredients for another 5 minutes, turn off the heat, and let the chickpeas soak in the spice soup for more than 2 hours, then you can eat

Unfinished chickpeas can be roasted in the oven or sautéed in a pan to become crispy spiced chickpeas. Store them in a bottle and eat at any time.
