Steamed Cod

Prepare the ingredients: cod, potatoes and carrots

Put some salt on the cod, squeeze some lemon juice, sprinkle some pepper and marinate for 10 minutes. You can put some bacon or sausage. It doesn't matter if you don't use ginger. The cod has no fishy smell.

Carrots and potatoes are peeled and cut into pieces, and cooked in a pot until they are ripe.

Then put a grate on top, put the marinated cod on top, cover the pot and steam on high heat for 5 minutes.

When time is up, open the lid and put the butter on a plate. Cover the lid and simmer for 1 minute until the butter melts.

Now we can serve it on the plate, order carrots and potatoes, pick up a piece of cod, pour some butter on the cod, and squeeze some lemon. It can be eaten. This is the most traditional way for Norwegians to eat cod.
Tips:
The meat of cod is very tender, so be sure not to steam it for a long time. If the fish is too thick, cut it from the middle.
