Steaming Sticky Cake
1.
Pour the rice noodles into a large bowl.
2.
Wash the red dates and soak them in water to soften them. I use Xinjiang red dates, which are big and sweet.
3.
The washed red dates are pitted and put in a bowl.
4.
Put warm water into the rice noodles and break them up with chopsticks.
5.
Knead it with your hands, so it’s better not to burn your hands (I used hot water to mix the noodles, but the effect was not good).
6.
Put in the red dates that have been pitted and continue to knead.
7.
Divide several equal parts.
8.
Pour clean water into the steamer and put the washed cabbage leaves in the steamer to prevent it from sticking to the pot. This step is very important, otherwise it will be difficult to scrub.
9.
Take a portion of the dough and put some water in your hand to arrange it. It can be formed into a nest-like shape. The hollow one is easy to cook. This time the dough is softer and the shape is slightly worse.
10.
All sorted out.
11.
It can be practically steamed for 20 minutes after being steamed on a large fire.
12.
Sticky and waxy.
13.
Take one and cut it and it is not sticky at all. The sticky cake after removing the core is bold to eat, and the taste is super delicious.
14.
Enjoy it with your family.
