Stewed Rice Cake with Longan and Red Dates
1.
Wash the red dates and peel off the shell of the longan.
2.
Wash the rice cakes and cut into thin slices for later use.
3.
Add appropriate amount of water to the health pot.
4.
Then add red dates and longan, turn on the herbal tea function, and start cooking.
5.
At the last 3 minutes, add the rice cake and rock sugar powder to the health pot, and wait until the time is up.
Tips:
The nian gao must be added in the last few minutes because it is easy to boil and become soft. If you add it in advance, the soup will become thick and muddy! Affect the taste!
Add red dates and longan together. The longan should not be boiled for too long, otherwise there will be no sweetness when biting on it. The function time of this herbal tea is just right!
If you don’t mind, the rock sugar powder can also be replaced with white sugar. If you are using rock sugar cubes, you can arrange the time to add the health pot according to the size.
