The melon beans grown by my parents on the balcony are very tender. In addition to making dumplings, I also like to use them to stew rice.

Stewed Rice with Bacon and Melon Beans

1. Prepare melon beans, rice, bacon, and garlic cloves.

2. Wash the melons and peas, slice them, slice the bacon, pat the garlic cloves and set aside.

3. Heat the oil in the pot, add garlic cloves; pour the bacon into the rice cooker, stir-fry for the oil.

4. Pour in the melon beans and stir well.

5. Add bean paste and stir well.

6. Fill with clean water.

7. Wash the rice and pour it into the rice cooker. Select the rice cooker to simmer the rice.

8. Braised rice has the best flavor when eaten hot.

Tips:

The bean paste is very salty, no need to add salt.
