Some time ago, the courtyard was filled with the fragrance of sweet-scented osmanthus. Every morning I got up and opened the window and smelled the scent. I really felt better all day. The son didn’t know where he heard it, saying, "Mummy, let’s make sweet-scented osmanthus cake", "Osmanthus cake?", "Yes, it’s a cake made of sweet-scented osmanthus" Okay, son, you know a lot. , Mother listen to you, let’s do it, then we must first use osmanthus. Where does osmanthus come from? I pick it in the community. I feel a little embarrassed during the day. Although it’s just outside my window, no one usually says to pick some. Let’s go secretly at night. My husband said if you’re going to bring bad kids. I admit that I’m not good at doing this, but to make sweet-scented osmanthus cake

2. Then put the sweet-scented osmanthus on the sieve, sift gently, the small rod will be stretched out, and then slowly pick the rod, this is the most troublesome

3. Soak the sweet-scented osmanthus in water for another half an hour

4. Wash and drain

5. The glass bottle is boiled in hot water and drained

6. First add sugar to the bottom of the bottle

7. Then add a layer of osmanthus

8. Put another layer of sugar and repeat the work

9. Fill the bottle

10.

11. The last layer must be sugar

12. Then use cold boiled water to pour a little bit on the sugar

13. Seal the bottle

14. Best to put in the refrigerator

15. After a week, turn the bottle upside down and marinate for another week

16. Another way is to use steaming to marinate the osmanthus in salt for half an hour

17. Then wash with water and soak again until there is no salty taste

18. Drain and put in a bowl

19. Add sugar

20. Put it in a pot and steam for about 15 minutes

21. Just put it in a bottle after cooling

Tips:

Note: I think it is better to use steaming method, which is quick and convenient. After marinating the osmanthus with salt, there is no bitter taste.
