Sweet Potato Congee with Red Dates
1.
Wash the rice and put it in a rice cooker.
2.
Add about 5 times the water and start cooking the porridge.
3.
Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into chunks.
4.
Put the sweet potato pieces into the pot.
5.
Wash the red dates, put them in the pot and cook them together.
6.
Wait until the porridge and soup are about to be dried. I add more water, so when the porridge and soup are almost dry, the porridge and sweet potatoes are already very soft and rotten. If you add less water, time is in control.
Tips:
The water used to cook the porridge may not be as much as mine. My taste is relatively soft and waxy, so I added about 5 times the water to make it softer.
Sweet potatoes and red dates don’t have to wait for the water to boil before putting them. Add them and cook them at the beginning to taste better.
