Sweet Pumpkin Rice

Wash the pumpkins repeatedly.

Cut a small section horizontally from above, dig out the pumpkin flesh, and clean it up.

Soak the glutinous rice and red dates for a while in advance. Add sugar to the glutinous rice and mix well.

Pour the glutinous rice into the pumpkin.

Put the red dates and small peanuts together in the pumpkin, and then fill it with water.

Put it in a steamer and steam on medium heat for 40-50 minutes.

Tips:
1 Pumpkins are best to use small pumpkins.
2 Regarding the ratio of rice to water, the water surface should be about 1 cm higher than the glutinous rice.
3 The bottom of the pumpkin can be left without a plate, just put it directly on the steaming tray. When I steamed the pumpkin, considering that the pumpkin is not easy to cook, I took the plate away. It must be steamed until fully cooked. The steaming time is for reference only. Please increase or decrease according to the size of the pumpkin.
