On special days, or to create a bright color for daily life. The things that cannot be bought are always the most precious. "

Ingredients

Sweetheart Biscuits

1. First of all: all raw materials must be at room temperature! Very important! Beat the butter with an electric mixer. The salted butter is used here. If it is not easy to buy, you can use regular butter and a small amount of salt instead. The electric mixer is shown in the picture.

2. If you want to make colorful biscuits, add the appropriate amount of food coloring at this step until the mixture reaches the desired color. Be careful not to add color after adding flour to prevent over-mixing the dough. The food coloring used here is shown in the picture. The three primary colors of red, yellow and blue are known to be able to produce many other colors.

3. Add sugar, vanilla extract, lemon flavor. Stir evenly with a stirrer. High-quality flavors are seriously recommended because they are really rarely used. I saw a lot of cheap ones on a certain treasure, but I really don’t dare to use it...lemon flavor and vanilla extract as shown in the picture. 500 grams of flour corresponds to a very small tube of lemon essence (2 ml) and two very small bags of vanilla essence.

4. Beat the eggs in the mixture and stir well.

5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for at least one hour. This time I made a total of three colors of dough, and I didn’t take pictures...

6. Add the flour in two portions and mix well. Be careful not to over-mix, just make it evenly.

7. Take out the refrigerated dough, roll it out to a thickness of 4-5 mm, use a biscuit mold to press out the shape of the biscuit, and press out the words. Mould the biscuits with a little flour to prevent sticking to the dough. The biscuit mold that can be embedded with letters is shown in the figure. In addition, a smaller biscuit molding was used, so the photos were not shown.

8. When the dough gradually becomes soft at room temperature and it is not convenient for lettering and embossing, it can be placed in the refrigerator to re-cool before taking it out.

9. Some recipes recommend putting the carved biscuits in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before putting them in the oven. This step is too troublesome for me, so I omitted it. Students who are diligent and the refrigerator is large enough can give it a try.

10. Put it in the oven. This time I used a small fire, 160-165 degrees, 15 minutes. That's it! This time the first batch of biscuits was 175 degrees for 14 minutes according to the recipe, and it turned out that the temperature was too high. Here you need to adjust the temperature and time according to your own oven. The baked biscuits are best left for one day, they will be more delicious!
