Twice Cooked Tofu and Cabbage

A group photo of the ingredients: a box of braised tofu, half of my mother’s homemade spicy sausage, half of carrot, half of cabbage, a small piece of white onion, a small piece of ginger, three or four cloves of garlic

Cut the tofu into thin slices, break the cabbage into small pieces, wash and set aside, peel off the ginger and garlic, wash and slice, wash the scallion and cut into small sections, wash and slice the sausage, and peel and slice the carrots.

Heat the pan with cold oil, warm the oil, add tofu and fry on both sides over low heat until browned. The old tofu doesn’t have much moisture, so I didn’t use starch on the tofu.

Fry tofu to control oil and set aside

Leave the bottom oil in the pan, add the sausage and stir fry to get the oil

Add green onion, white ginger, garlic and fragrant

Add carrots and stir fry

Add the cabbage and stir fry for a minute or two

Add a little light soy sauce and simmer the tofu for four or five minutes to taste. I didn’t add chicken essence and it was delicious. Of course, you can add a little chicken essence and turn off the heat.

I transfer it to a casserole and boil it on the table. It can keep warm, and it has a little dry pot feel(o^^o)
