Year of The Pig [pig and Pig Cartoon Buns]
1.
Knead the dough first, pour milk into the container, then add dry yeast, stir well and let stand for 5 minutes until the yeast is completely dissolved.
2.
Add corn oil and flour.
3.
Knead into a smooth and slightly sticky dough in 5 minutes.
4.
Divide 130 grams of the kneaded dough and add a little red yeast rice powder.
5.
Knead into a pink dough, the remaining dough is about 20 grams, covered with plastic wrap.
6.
Divide the kneaded pink dough into 4 pieces of 30 g large dough, cover the remaining pink dough with plastic wrap, and set aside (will be used to make ears, arms and noses).
7.
Take a large piece of dough, vent it, and round it. With both hands, press left and right to form an oval shape, as shown in the figure. With the same operation, complete the other 3 pieces of dough, and the main body of the piglet is ready.
8.
Now let's make the piggy belly. Take 8 grams of the white dough and add a little more red yeast rice powder, knead it into a bright red color, roll the kneaded dough into a round piece, and cut it crosswise.
9.
Brush the surface of the 4 pieces of dough with dry flour to prevent sticking, and then stack them, use a knife to cut out the shape of a small belly. The advantage of stacking and cutting is that the 4 parts are all the same size.
10.
Brush the apron with milk and stick it on the lower part of the main body dough. The small apron should be tightly attached to avoid air in it, otherwise, it will bulge when steaming.
11.
Then, from the pink dough, divide 8 portions of 0.4 g dough and knead them into small 2cm long strips. This is the pig's arm.
12.
From the remaining pink dough, divide another 4 portions of 0.8 grams of dough, ventilate and knead it into a fat shape in the middle of the two ends, squeeze it with your fingertips, and cut it in the middle. This is the pig’s ear.
13.
The pig’s nose is 0.2 grams, exhausted and kneaded into a cylindrical shape, installed on the pig’s face, and poke out the nostrils and mouth with a toothpick. The pig's ears are also glued to the corresponding positions with milk.
14.
Take 2 grams of the remaining white dough and add bamboo charcoal to it, knead it into a black dough, then roll it into pieces, press out small round pieces with a round decorating nozzle to make eyes.
15.
Glue the small eyes well.
16.
Cut out 16 small red ropes from the remaining red dough to make a small bellyband strap, and then stick the arms together. Use a toothpick to insert the side lines on the side of the small bellyband to complete the modeling.
17.
Dip the red yeast rice powder with a dry brush to brush the blush on the pig, and place it on the steaming pan filled with baking paper (I use a steamer to make it, and the steamer without a steamer is the same).
18.
Put the steaming tray into the oven, and select the fermentation function to ferment to 1.5 times at 30 degrees for about 1 hour.
19.
After the fermentation is completed, it will turn to pure steaming function and steam at 100 degrees for 20 minutes.
20.
Remember to stand for 5 minutes before taking it out.
21.
Finally, after the steamed buns are allowed to cool down, write the words for the Year of the Pig with a black edible pen, and it is all done.
22.
Finally, I wish you all a happy new year~
