Beef Stew with Frozen Tofu

Cut beef into pieces; thaw frozen tofu.

Prepare the seasoning

Blanch the beef in water to remove impurities.

Wash and purify the blanched beef; cut frozen tofu into pieces.

Put white sugar (or rock sugar) in a wok to melt

When the color of the sugar turns brown and there is a little smoke, put the meat in and stir fry. Put cooking wine.

Stir fry with onion, ginger, garlic and burdock

Stir fry with tomato sauce, fermented bean curd juice, chili powder and other seasonings

Drain the water, the amount of water is better than the meat, add enough water at a time. Put beef powder, cinnamon, bay leaves, pepper, aniseed, cover the pot and simmer slowly (time according to your own pot)

When the stew is about 60 to 70% cooked, add salt and frozen tofu cubes and continue to stew.
