Braised Duck Feet

The duck paws bought in the supermarket are washed and soaked in clean water for half an hour to remove the blood.

Add a proper amount of water to the pot and boil, then boil the washed duck feet in boiling water to further remove the dirt. When the water boils again, remove the duck feet and rinse them in cold water for later use.

Add clean water to the pot again, the amount of water is just over the duck feet, pour the duck feet into the water, add sliced ginger, spring onion, pepper, aniseed, fresh soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, and start to cook on high heat. Turn to medium heat and cook slowly for about 20 minutes. Add salt and cook for another 25 minutes. The degree of softness and hardness of the cooking can be adjusted according to personal preference.

The duck feet that have been cooked for 45 minutes are finally ready. Finally, sprinkle some MSG to add freshness to the plate.

My family likes to eat a bit softer and not too slushy, so I cook it longer. Personally, I don't like to cook stuff in a pressure cooker. I always feel that it doesn't taste good when cooked! It's just a personal opinion
