Braised Winter Melon

Peel the wax gourd, wash and cut into pieces, blanch the wax gourd with boiling water.

Heat the oil in the pan, add garlic slices and sauté fragrant. Add appropriate amount of brown sugar and winter melon cubes. Stir-fry for a while, add water, dark soy sauce and star anise, cover and simmer.

After the winter melon is ripe, add salt and white pepper, and sprinkle with green onions.
Tips:
Add a teaspoon of salt to the water when blanching winter melon.
