Brown Sugar Tea Eggs

Prepare the ingredients you need.

Put the eggs in the pot, boil the water and turn to medium-low heat for 8 minutes until cooked.

After the egg is boiled, let it cool or soak it in cold water. Use a spoon to crack the egg shell.

Put black tea bags, brown sugar, star anise, cinnamon, bay leaves and anise in the pot.

Pour an appropriate amount of water into the pot and boil.

Add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and salt.

Add eggs and boil, turn to low heat and continue to cook for half an hour. Turn off the heat.

Soak overnight for a better taste!
Tips:
1. The clean water in the pot must not have the eggs, and the seasonings can be adjusted according to the amount of water.
2. The prepared tea eggs are soaked in the marinade for 12-20 hours for the best taste.
3. For brown sugar, it is recommended to choose ancient brown sugar instead of red granulated sugar. The process, body shape, effect and taste of the two are different.
4. If you like the salty taste as the main sweet taste supplemented, the amount of brown sugar can be increased to 40~45 grams.
