Chestnut Stewed Chicken
1.
As shown in the picture, prepare the materials! Chicken, chestnut, green onion, ginger, garlic, star anise, cinnamon, pepper!
2.
Heat the pot, pour in cooking oil (the oil can be a little bit more), add the pepper and fry it until fragrant (if you don't like pepper, you can throw it away), add half of the ginger and half of the garlic and saute.
3.
Pour the chicken and stir fry, add a little salt, chicken essence, and cooking wine during the stir fry.
4.
Stir fry until all the chicken fat is boiled out
5.
Add the right amount of water, you can add a little more water, because the chestnut will be added later. Add star anise, cinnamon, green onion, ginger, garlic.
6.
After the chicken is simmered for about 20 minutes, add the chestnuts.
7.
After simmering on high heat for ten minutes, wait until the chicken and chestnut are fully cooked and season them appropriately according to the taste!
Tips:
Because chicken and chestnut are better cooked, I usually don't use a pressure cooker, so the chicken that is slowly stewed will be more tender and fragrant!
