Danish Jam Pastry Box
1.
First make Danish bread dough, put the ingredients other than butter into the bread machine in the order of water, eggs, salt, high powder, low powder, milk powder, sugar, and yeast to perform kneading.
2.
After performing a kneading procedure, add 30 grams of butter and continue kneading.
3.
Knead the dough until it is smooth, take it out, and put it in a bowl for fermentation at room temperature. When the dough has doubled in size, make a hole in the middle of the dough with your hands, and the surrounding area does not collapse, indicating that the dough is well fermented.
4.
Press the dough by hand and put it in the refrigerator freezer for 1 hour.
5.
Put the wrapped butter into a fresh-keeping bag and roll it into thin slices.
6.
After taking out the refrigerated dough, roll it into a dough piece 3 times the size of a butter piece.
7.
Fold the two sides of the dough in half toward the middle.
8.
Rotate the dough 90 degrees, roll it out again, and fold it in half a second time.
9.
Repeat 7 and 8 to complete the third fold in half, and roll the Danish dough into a 0.4cm sheet, so that the Danish dough is completed.
10.
Divide the Danish noodles into 9cm*9cm squares. On the cut square noodles, use a knife to make 4 passes along the edge about 1cm. The marked out is shown in the figure.
11.
Brush the egg wash on the dough sheet, turn over one side as shown in the picture, and then turn the other side over.
12.
Put it in the baking dish and let it sit for 40 minutes.
13.
Brush the surface with egg wash and put your favorite jam (I put strawberry jam) in the middle.
14.
Put it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for 20 minutes.
15.
After roasting, take it out and place on a drying rack to cool down before eating.
Tips:
The jam can be spread before roasting or after roasting.
