Homemade Caramel Popcorn

Use these small corn kernels to make popcorn (Halik corn).

Pour corn oil in a saucepan and heat on medium heat.

Pour in the small corn kernels, wait for the corn to start to pop, turn to a low heat, and close the lid.

Shake the pot from time to time to heat the corn kernels evenly. When there is no crackling sound, remove the lid of the pot and stir to let the water vapor run out.

Pour out the popcorn for later use.

Pour granulated sugar and salt into the pan, shake the pan to spread the sugar and salt evenly on the bottom of the pan. Turn on a low heat and heat, and don't stir until the sugar is caramelized.

When the sugar melts and turns light brown, turn off the heat and add the melted butter.

Stir well.
9.
Pour popcorn into the caramel.
10.
Stir well, so that each popcorn is coated with caramel.
