Homemade Siu Mai

Wash the glutinous rice and cook for later use; if you like a softer texture, cook it in a rice cooker; if you like a more chewy texture, you can steam it in a steamer;

Pea, peel and wash; Carrots, peel, wash, and dice; Dice ham;

Place the frying pan on the fire, add an appropriate amount of corn oil; add peas, carrots and stir fry; then add ham and stir fry;

Add appropriate amount of light soy sauce, white pepper, salt, sugar, and stir-fry evenly;

Add the glutinous rice and stir-fry evenly. This is the siu mai filling;

Pour out the siu mai filling; prepare the siu mai; place the siu mai on the palm, and put an appropriate amount of the siu mai;

Fold the four corners of the hand skin to the middle, and then use the tiger's mouth to close it;

All the shaomai are wrapped;

Put the shaomai in the steamer, turn to medium heat and steam for 5-7 minutes, turn off the heat and simmer for 3 minutes before opening the lid;

The simple and delicious shaomai is ready!
