Mulberry Rice Porridge
1.
Prepare ingredients: 30g porridge rice, 25g mulberry.
PS: The mulberry in my picture is about 120 grams, I only used a quarter, and the rest is used to make mulberry jam.
The 30g rice porridge and 25g mulberry mulberry rice porridge are about the size of a large bowl, which is not the size of a baby's meal. It is necessary for the baby and mother to eat it together. The mothers can secretly add some sugar, which is especially wonderful.
When cooking porridge for a baby, it is best to choose porridge rice, which is processed on the basis of rice, and the rice is broken so that the cooked porridge is soft and waxy.
When we choose mulberries, we should choose the black and bright color, because the black and bright color has a high maturity, and the flesh will be sweeter. Also, it depends on its stalk, which is green. This kind of picking time is not long and fresher.
2.
First, rinse the porridge and rice briefly. Don't throw away the rice water, save it for a while to clean the mulberries.
3.
Now it's time to cook the porridge, and put the cleaned porridge rice in the soup pot.
PS: The process of making porridge is relatively simple. You can use rice cookers, BB pots, or casseroles to make porridge.
4.
Then add an appropriate amount of water. After the high heat is boiled, turn to a low heat.
PS: I used 30g of porridge rice with 600ml of water, because I use a soup pot to cook the porridge, it is easy to pan, I cook the whole process with the lid open, so that the water evaporates very quickly, so I added a lot of water.
If you use an electric rice cooker to cook porridge, the water will evaporate slowly, about 10 times the amount of water will do.
5.
While cooking the porridge, we will handle the mulberries. First rinse the mulberries with running water.
PS: When mulberries are cleaned with running water, the fruit pedicles of the mulberries must not be pulled out, otherwise the flesh will be scattered, which will cause secondary pollution.
6.
Put the mulberries in the rice-washing water to soak for about 10 minutes, and finally rinse the mulberries with running water.
PS: Fruits such as mulberries and strawberries have uneven surfaces and are difficult to clean. If there is a fruit and vegetable cleaning solution, the soaking effect will be better. If not, use rice wash water to soak. Because the rice water is alkaline, it has the function of decomposing pesticides and will take away the dust on the surface.
7.
After cleaning, remove the stalks of the mulberries.
PS: Unlike other fruits, its stalk is grown in the flesh (it feels like a bunch of grapes). When removing the stalk, you can't pull it down directly, as it will break easily.
On the side of the mulberry pulp, you can see a vertical seam, which is separated from the mulberry pulp, so that the stalk of the entire mulberry can be easily removed.
8.
After removing the stalk, the mulberries are divided into small pieces. Mulberries are easy to stain, so be careful not to get them on your clothes when handling them.
PS: Divide into small pieces, which is convenient for the baby to chew when eating, but it will turn the whole pot of porridge into dark purple. Some babies are more concerned about the appearance of the color and do not want to eat dark rice porridge. In this case, it is not recommended to divide the mulberries into small pieces in advance. It can be divided into small pieces after it is cooked.
9.
While cooking the porridge on a low heat, stir and stir at any time to prevent the pot from getting stuck.
10.
Cook for about 23 minutes. After the rice porridge is cooked, put the processed mulberries in a pot and continue to cook.
PS: The anthocyanins in mulberries are actually not suitable for heating to eat, which will destroy its nutrients. But because the baby is young and the gastrointestinal function is not perfect, it is not suitable for direct cold eating. Therefore, we can only take the second place and eat it after it is cooked.
If a baby over one year old eats mulberries directly, the stomach can adapt to it, and if he eats it directly, the nutrients will be better preserved.
11.
At the same time, stir while cooking. It will take about 3-4 minutes to cook.
12.
Put the cooked porridge into the bowl, and the baby can start. If the baby has already started adding porridge, he can taste this mulberry rice porridge.
13.
If the baby has not added rice porridge, you can mix it into rice porridge like I did above.
I took about half of the mulberry rice porridge, then added 35g of warm water and put it in a blender to make a mulberry rice paste. (If the mixing cup is not made of glass, you need to wait for the rice porridge to dry warmer before pour it into the cup and stir)
14.
After stirring, the mulberry rice paste becomes very delicate.
Tips:
Mulberry pedicles are special, growing inside the pulp, so when removing the stalks, the pulp needs to be separated to completely take out the mulberry pedicles. Be sure to remove the mulberry pedicles, and don't mix them in the porridge.
Although the mulberries have been divided into small pieces, when the baby eats, be sure to ask the baby to chew them up before swallowing. And it is not easy to overeat mulberries at once.
