The name of this dish sounds casual, but it's actually very serious (snicker). Everyone must have heard of "borscht". It is a thick vegetable soup that originated in Ukraine. Maybe many of my friends have tried it, and I have also made borscht, but the elderly at home said after drinking it, "Isn’t this just an alternative Northeast stew." If you think about it, it’s true that our Chinese food culture is extensive and profound. Is Random Stew not as famous as borscht? I think I have a sense of mission to carry forward this famous dish in Northeast China (just kidding, bragging, but not so good). Stew is the most common cooking method in Northeast dishes. Some people say that stew is a legacy of the nomadic people in Northeast China. It was once the residence of Mongolia, Dajin, Daliao, and Manchus. These nomads lived their lives. The life on the back, a big iron pot is carried on the horseback, every time I go to the camp, I have to throw the meat and vegetables into a pot to stew, slowly forming a "stewed" with Northeast characteristics. In addition, the Northeast is in severe cold. In winter, many families like to cook in big pots. Put the steaming Northeast chaotic stew on the table, eat it in the mouth, and feel warm. Well, the northeast chaotic stew is here for science. This dish is more suitable for eating in winter or when the weather is relatively cold. It is nourishing and warming. Although summer is here, the recipe is reserved for winter or rainy days. It's not bad to do it!

Northeast Chaos

1. For beef, I chose sirloin. Rinse it and cut it into uniformly sized pieces of beef. Use cooking wine, salt, and pepper noodles to taste for 15 minutes. At this time, prepare other ingredients.

2. Cut carrots and tomatoes into pieces, shred the onions, tear the nougat into small pieces (forgot to take the photo of the nougat), and cut the sharp pepper into bell pepper rings.

3. Heat oil in a pan, add green onion, ginger and garlic until fragrant.

4. Put the beef cubes in the pan and stir fry.

5. Add the carrot cubes and continue to stir fry.

6. Add shredded onion and tomatoes and continue to stir fry

7. Pour clean water into the pot, without all the ingredients, if you like more soup, you can add more water. Cover the pot, bring the soup to a boil on high heat and then change to low heat and simmer slowly.

8. Add the torn first vegetable leaves and sharp pepper rings, cover the pot and simmer for 5 minutes.

Tips:

1. Nougat can also be stewed in a pot with other dishes. According to personal taste, the taste of Nougat in the pot before being out of the pot will be slightly harder, and it will take a long time to put it in the pot with onions and tomatoes. Some will be softer.
2. Because it is a soup dish, sirloin is best for beef. The soup will be more fragrant. Lean or too much fat will affect the taste.
3. The Northeast Random Stew is to put whatever dish you like into it. Commonly used ones are mentioned in the recipe. You can also add eggplant, potatoes, and yam. If you like it, you can also choose pork ribs and so on.
