Osmanthus Wine: A Mid-autumn Festival Home Brewed Wine
1.
Prepare sweet-scented osmanthus, preferably fresh golden osmanthus, if you don’t use dried osmanthus.
2.
Prepare goji berries.
3.
Prepare the longan.
4.
Wash the sweet-scented osmanthus with rice wine to remove dust and other debris, and put it into a clean and dry sealable container, preferably a clay pot or glass bottle.
5.
Wash the wolfberry with rice wine and put it in a bottle.
6.
Peel the longan shells and leave the longan flesh.
7.
Put the longan into the bottle and add rock sugar.
8.
Add rice wine.
9.
Cap the bottle and keep it sealed.
10.
Keep it in a dark place and wait for 30 days.
11.
Strain out the unpacked osmanthus wine.
12.
Ready to drink.
Tips:
The wine-making bottle must be washed with boiling water and dried, and the rice wine can be sterilized before use.
The taste of Osmanthus fragrans wine is mellow and sweet, and slightly floral, but not greedy.
