Eating more fat-containing nuts in winter will keep you from the cold. Sesame peanut candy is not only crispy, but also more fragrant as you chew, and it adds a touch of warmth to the cold winter."

Sesame Peanut Candy

1. The peanut kernels are roasted in an electric baking pan.

2. Black and white sesame seeds are roasted in a pan.

3. Peanuts are peeled and mixed with sesame seeds.

4. Mix water, maltose and granulated sugar.

5. Start to boil the sugar over low heat.

6. Boil the syrup until 140-142°. This is very important.

7. Turn off the fire. Pour the mixed peanuts and sesame seeds into the boiled sugar and mix quickly.

8. Put it in a baking tray, press into a rectangle, let it cool, and cut into pieces.

9. Very crispy and not sticky at all. The more you chew, the better.

Tips:

Boil the syrup until 140-142°. This is very important. There is no thermometer, so I dip my chopsticks in the syrup to see if I can draw silk. Just do it if you can.
