Spiced Fried Lotus Root Box

Add salt, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cooking wine, white pepper, and chopped green onion and ginger to the pork filling and marinate for 20 minutes.

Add flour, starch, a little baking powder, an egg, appropriate amount of water, five-spice powder and salt to a large bowl and whisk evenly with a manual whisk, and then add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and stir evenly for later use.

Peel the lotus root and cut into thicker slices.

The two pieces of lotus root are glued together with meat filling between them.

Tips:
1. When adjusting the flour starch paste, the ratio of flour to starch is 1:1, and water should be added gradually until it reaches a satisfactory level.
2. Adding baking powder to the batter can make the finished product crisper on the outside and tender on the inside.
