Stamped Marinated Egg

The eggs are boiled into hard-boiled eggs.

Prepare vegetable leaves. I prepare bean sprouts and fennel. Other good-looking vegetable leaves are also fine.

Wrap the eggs in gauze and tie them tightly.

Put water, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, salt, and star anise in a pot and bring to a boil. Add the wrapped eggs and cook on low heat for about 40 minutes.
