Sweet and Sour and Refreshing---russian Pickled Cucumber

Scald the inside and outside of the sealed container with boiling water and let dry.

Wash cucumber and fennel and drain.
3.
Cut fennel into small pieces, peel and shred onion.

Put the fennel, onion, French mustard, rock sugar, dried chili, salt, and garlic in a pot, add appropriate amount of water to boil, turn off the heat and let cool, add rice vinegar and stir well.
5.
Put the cucumber into the container, pour the marinade over the cucumber, and let it ferment for 15-20 days at room temperature.
