Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice--home-cooked Meal

Cut the pork belly into shreds and put it in the pot slowly because of the oil.

Poke the meat on one side, and put the chopped shallots on the empty side, because it is not easy to mash and sauté.

Pour in fresh chopped green onion, dried chopped green onion, 1/2 star anise, and sauté.

Add the minced garlic again, because the minced garlic is easy to paste, so put it in the end and continue to saute.

Add 1 tbsp rock sugar and 1/2 tbsp brown sugar powder, stir fry until fragrant, then pour about 3 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce from the side of the pot, stir evenly, if worried If the saltiness is not enough or too weak, you can adjust the saltiness with the amount of soy sauce.

Tips:
1. It's best to make braised pork at 2 catties or more. Of course, the ingredients should be increased accordingly. I am doing an experiment this time and I dare not do more. If it succeeds, I will do more next time, haha.
2. The minced garlic should be put after the shallots and chopped green onions, because the minced garlic is easy to fry.
3. James suggested to use five-spice powder, but I can avoid five-spice powder by putting anise in it.
4. Fry the northern tofu and simmer it in the meat. It is not easy to turn and taste. Wait for a good taste after the meal.
