Two-color Red Bean Cake Baby Food Supplement Recipe

Put the red beans in water and soak overnight in advance.

The next day, put the soaked red beans in a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, turn to medium heat when the water boils, and boil until it becomes soft and put it out, drain the excess water.
*If you don't need a pot, you can also use a rice cooker to cook red beans, as long as they are soft and rotten, it will save effort.

Wash the rice and put it in a bowl, add 50 grams of water, and steam for 30 minutes. Turn off the heat and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.
*This step is the process of making cooked rice. You can steam it in a pot like I did, or you can make it with a rice cooker.

Add 185 grams of water to the lotus root flour and stir evenly to make a lotus root flour slurry.
*Lotus root flour is an important ingredient in this recipe, I do not recommend replacing it, so as not to increase the failure rate.

Add 185 grams of water to the pot, add rock sugar, and cook until the water becomes boiling and the rock sugar is completely melted.

Pour 1/4 of the lotus root flour slurry into the pot and stir evenly with a spatula.
*Be sure to stir again before pouring, otherwise the previously stirred lotus root powder will sink to the bottom.

Then pour in the remaining lotus root flour paste and continue to stir evenly to make a lotus root flour paste.
*In the process of boiling, keep stirring until the lotus root flour paste is not easy to fall off when you lift the egg beater like me.
*Be sure not to pour it all at once! You can pour it in two times like I did, otherwise the lotus root powder paste will all be glued together and won't be as shown in the picture.

Add 1/3 of the lotus root flour paste to the steamed rice and stir the ingredients evenly.

Pour the remaining 2/3 of the lotus root flour paste into the red beans, and stir evenly with chopsticks.

Take out the mold, brush oil on the inside of the mold, and spread greased paper on the bottom. If you don’t have a mold, you can use a small bowl at home~

Pour the cooked rice paste into the mold and spread it out flat.

The rice paste in the mold is boiled in a water pot and steamed on medium-high heat for about 8 minutes.

After the rice has solidified and formed, open the lid, put it directly on top of the rice paste, and then pour the red bean paste and flatten it.
