Walnut Sesame Candy

Roast the walnut kernels, put them in the oven together with the cooked black sesame seeds, and turn on the fermentation function to keep them warm for later use.

Add white sugar to water, put it in a non-stick pan, and simmer on low heat.

Cook until the sugar water is slightly yellow.

Add maltose.

Boil on low heat until caramel color and small bubbles. Dip some syrup with chopsticks and put it into cold boiling water. Turn off the heat when the sugar becomes crisp.

Add the walnuts and mix quickly.

Add cooked black sesame seeds.

Stir quickly and evenly.

Pour the mixture into the mold.

Cover the surface with greased paper.

Use a rolling pin to roll it out firmly.

Cut into thin pieces while hot, and serve after cooling.

Tips:
1. Walnuts and black sesame seeds keep warm. When mixing, the syrup will not cool too quickly, which is good for shaping.
2. The syrup must be boiled in place, otherwise the finished product will stick to the teeth.
3. Be sure to cut into pieces while hot, otherwise it will break easily.
4. The finished product is sliced into thin slices for easy consumption.
