Why does Lidong eat dumplings? Because dumplings are derived from the saying "at the time of Jiaozi". New Year’s Eve is the turn of the old year and the New Year, and Lidong is the turn of autumn and winter, so dumplings must be eaten at the time of "coming". People have gradually restored this ancient custom, and on the day of Li Dong, all kinds of dumplings are very popular. Dumplings must be served in many places. As the saying goes, "Tasty dumplings are better than dumplings." The dumplings are gradually diversified, including celery, fennel, leeks, pork, beef, spaniel, three fresh, whitebait and so on.

The custom of eating dumplings in Lidong

Dumplings existed as early as in the Three Kingdoms period, but the dumplings at that meeting are similar to the current wontons. After they are cooked, they are served in a bowl and mixed with soup, so people at that time called dumplings "wontons". It was not until after the Tang Dynasty that dumplings became the same as they are now. The original name of the dumpling is said to be "Jiao'er". "
