My colleague gave me a bag of whole wheat flour, stone ground, so I won’t make steamed buns for dim sum. The first snack is a simple whole-wheat sesame biscuits. Recently, two nieces have started to like baking. Probably influenced by me, I plan to train them and strive to become child stars in the baking industry.

Whole Wheat Sesame Biscuits

1. Mix whole wheat flour, salt and baking soda, add the softened butter and knead it with your hands to form a granular shape

2. Pour the corn oil in portions and knead evenly

3. Add sugar and knead evenly

4. Knead the dough for 10 minutes

5. Roll out the dough between two layers of plastic wrap

6. Sprinkle a layer of sesame seeds, roll it out, poke the pattern with a naan, you can omit this step or use a fork

7. Cut rectangular slices with a flower knife

8. Arrange into the baking tray, put it into the preheated oven, middle level, and fire up and down at 180 degrees for 18 minutes
