Ants are actually fans of minced meat when they go up the tree. The origin of the name of this dish is said to have a sad story. According to legend, Dou E was poor, and in order to take care of his sick mother-in-law, he had to talk to the meat seller before he credited a piece of meat. Dou E chopped this small piece of meat into minced meat, cooked it with the fans, and brought it to her mother-in-law. Because my mother-in-law was old and had poor eyesight, she thought that the little minced meat sticking to the fans were some ants, so this dish was named "Ants on the Tree".
