I have eaten crayfish outside once, but the shrimp intestines and stomach are not removed. It is too troublesome to eat, and hygiene is also a concern. So I started to make crayfish by myself. It took several hours from going to the vegetable market to making the finished product, but the finished product tastes great and it is worth it!

Ingredients

Braised Crayfish

1. Put the bought shrimp into the sink and let the shrimp spit out the sludge

2. Use a toothbrush to clean the shell and belly of the shrimp. First use your thumb and index finger to hold down the two large claws of the shrimp, and then use the toothbrush to brush the belly and shell so that it will not be caught by the large tongs. This method is great!

3. After brushing the shrimp, cut off the shrimp

4. The prawns with the prawn silks removed are soaked in water, and two tablespoons of salt are added to let the prawns spit out the mud in the belly. Soak for an hour

5. Before removing the shrimp intestines, first use your thumb and index finger to hold down the two large pliers, and then use your right hand to pull the scales of the tail from left to right and then pull the shrimp intestines out.

6. Remove the shrimp from the intestines, there will still be muddy water flowing out from the tail, so soak it in water first

7. Use scissors to cut half of the shrimp’s mouth (don’t cut off the entire head, otherwise the stomach won’t be pulled out), and pull the head shell with your hands (it will automatically bring out the shrimp yellow and stomach), I just removed the shrimp yellow directly. This way the shrimp is very clean!

Tips:

The taste is very tasty, spicy enough! Friends who love to eat crayfish, hurry up! The process is very laborious and time consuming, but it is very fulfilling! I was afraid of being caught in the process of processing shrimp, but I finally overcome the psychological barrier! Haha
