Gardenia can be crushed and soaked a few hours in advance, or you can use a food processor to break the soaking water and use after filtering. Gardenia water replaces the water used for steaming rice, the ratio remains the same

Wrap the rice with plastic wrap, roll it into a rice ball, make a larger one and a smaller one, and then squeeze out the wings. The rice ball must be squeezed tightly to look good

Spare ribs can be processed in advance, sliced green onion and ginger, flavored with salt, soy sauce, cooking wine, and a little starch will make the meat tender. I steamed the rice together when I was steaming it, which made it easier. You can do other things, as long as you keep it in a good-looking shape.

Remove the roots of the white jade mushroom and wash, and cut the green and red peppers into diamond-shaped pieces. After the oil has heated up, add the white jade mushrooms and stir-fry until soft, then add the green and red peppers and stir-fry, add salt and oyster sauce to taste

Also prepare a little refreshing side dishes. Cut small tomatoes in half, slice carrots, and cut asparagus into small pieces. Blanch the carrot slices and asparagus in boiling water, with or without salt. Because the ribs themselves are very tasty, it will be great with boiled asparagus. Let the carrot slices cool and prepare for modeling later

Because I don’t think the chicken’s eyes are very energetic, I used a straw to carve two small circles on the cheese slices and placed them on the eyes for highlighting. This step can be omitted. I used a convenient small mold, but it doesn’t matter if there is no mold. Except for the carrot flower, other shapes can be directly cut out with scissors
