White Sliced Chicken

Clean the chicken inside and out, drain the water and put it into a container.

Cut the ginger, garlic, and green onions into evenly thick pieces and set aside.

Add water to the pot to heat up, add chicken, ginger, garlic cloves, green onions, and star anise to cook. Cover the pot but do not seal it to prevent the soup from overflowing the pot.
