Abalone is very nutritious, but there is no way to treat it tastefully. In the Japanese method, let the abalone soak in the cooked juice overnight. The taste of the juice enhances the abalone's umami and retains the strong taste of the abalone. It is my favorite abalone method.

1. Wash the abalone and clean the sand from the shell.

2. Put water, light soy sauce, sugar, sake, and ginger slices into the pot, add the abalone, and cook on high heat for about 20 minutes. Soak for about 8 hours.

3. Take it out when you eat it and put it on a plate.

Tips:

Abalones can be boiled without shells, or they can be boiled with shells like I did. Just wash them well.
