This is a rice dish with the perfect combination of protein and carbohydrates. If it is paired with salad and yogurt, it is a complete meal. According to your taste, it can be made spicy or mild. A rice dish like this can introduce people (especially children) to the wonderful world of curry. It can be packed in a lunch box and taken to school or company. It is especially suitable for outdoor consumption on warm summer evenings.

Ingredients

Chickpea Pilaf

1. Remove the chickpeas from the can and drain the water.

2. Slice the onion, shred the ginger, and prepare the spices.

3. Wash the rice thoroughly, add appropriate amount of water, and set aside.

4. Thinly slice shallots.

5. Come on, fry the shallots on medium heat.

6. After frying until golden, remove and drain the oil.

7. Saute the onions with the shallot oil in the pan.

8. Fry the onion until golden brown.

9. Add spices and ginger.

10. Pour the cooking water in the pot into the wok. After boiling, pour it back into the pot with onions and spices, and add the chickpeas. Select the "Bibimbap" program.

Tips:

1 Chickpeas can also be dried, but they need to be soaked overnight.
2 The crushed black pepper can also be replaced with black peppercorns.
