August of the lunar calendar is the season of plump shrimps and crabs. This dish has the deliciousness of crabs and the fragrance of lotus leaves. After being steamed in a Datong electric pot, they blend perfectly together. It is truly unstoppable.

Lotus Steamed Crab Rice

1. Soak the lotus leaf in water to soften it, wash the glutinous rice and add a cup of water to the inner pot of the Datong electric pot, add a cup of water to the outer pot and steam until the button pops up

2. Wash the crabs, remove their lungs, chop them into pieces and set aside

3. Finely chop carrots and mushrooms, mince green onion and ginger

4. Add a little oil to the outer pot, stir-fry the green onion and ginger until fragrant, add carrots and shiitake mushrooms, add soy sauce, salt and sugar to taste. After frying, mix well with the steamed glutinous rice. Wrap the mixed glutinous rice and the combined prototype crab with lotus leaves. Tie tightly with a string, put it into the Datong steaming dish, add half a cup of water to the outer pot, and steam until the button pops. Enjoy it now!
