Popular Street Food in Xi’an [roasted Gluten] (fried at Home)

Tear the gluten into silk by hand. After washing, the microwave is heated on high for three minutes.

Without putting oil in the pot, stir dry the gluten until the surface is browned.

Prepare a small bowl and add half a teaspoon of pepper powder, half a teaspoon of five-spice powder, two teaspoons of cumin powder, and a teaspoon of chili powder, stir well and set aside.

Prepare a bowl with one tablespoon of light soy sauce, one tablespoon of oyster sauce, half a tablespoon of sesame sauce, salt and chicken essence, and dilute to a slightly viscous bowl of juice

Shred the green pepper and set aside.

Pour oil in the pot, and sauté half of the spice powder when the oil is hot.

Pour the gluten very evenly.

Pour into the mixed bowl of juice.

Pour the green pepper shreds and fry until the green pepper shreds have just changed color and matured.

Add a handful of cooked sesame seeds and the remaining seasoning powder.
